We had a corny supper this week. We had mini corn dogs, corn on the cob and corn chips. Stephen wanted to make corn juice, but I talked him into lemonade instead. The boys were so excited about our meal that would be served in Grandma Pavkov's old corn dish that they made a welcome sign for Daddy and put it on the garage door where he'd be sure to see it. We had a great time at our corny meal! Next time we'll invite you!

You could make corn chowder and corn fritters next time, also and make it a real corny buffet! Sounds yummy!
And don't forget corned beef! I like your corny theme- but then I'm all about corn being from Ohio!
When we eat C.O.R.N., it means LEFT-OVERS - Clean - Out - Refrigerator - Night.
Then we have C.O.F.N. - Clean Out Freezer Night. The kids like corn and coffin nights!
Yum yum! My kids would've loved it!
sevensimons--that's funny!
What a cute idea!
How about corn bread? There's always peppers, onions and CORN added to scrambled eggs, sprinkled with cheese, maybe even a few bacon crumbles... for a yummy meal. And end the day with Popcorn! I have a good caramel corn recipe, too.
I guess I never grew out of being corny, either. It just makes life a lot more fun.
Thanks for all the ideas for next year! We did have Cheddar Chicken Chowder the next night w/the leftover corn on the cob and it was a hit! The boys don't really go for cornbread and their dad's not thrilled w/corned beef. I thought of Mom's great caramel corn recipe, but I knew what the results of that would be and skipped it. We had popcorn before bed that night. Sevensimons, I laughed at your acronyms! I had heard you mention your C.O.R.N. nights before, but never the C.O.F.N. ones!!
