The boys are thrilled! We got bunk beds for their room. We've actually had them for about two weeks now, but I didn't get the pictures downloaded until now so I didn't share our exciting news. The boys all helped Daddy put them together and even though it took three times as long that way, they all have this sense of ownership and pride now and love their new beds. With all three boys in the same bedroom, they are having a blast with these beds. The first night that they slept in them, I was tucking them in and Stephen whispered to me, "Mommy!" I came over to hear him. "This is fun!" he said. I kissed him good night and whispered back, "I'm so glad!"

I remember those days. At one point we had all four boys in the same room. It gave new meaning to the phrase "party all night". We had to put an end to that. I know they'll love being together. Happy every night party!
They all look thrilled! I sure hope they are sturdy beds, though. Looks like Christopher will be up there right with his big brothers any time they are up there.(or not)
By the way, Stephen is an excellent photographer.
What's the "word verification" for under this comment section?
I've been getting spam and rather than deal with that, I was encouraged to use this word verification to cut down on unwanted posts. If you are an authentic commentor, then you will be able to type in the letters seen. If you are a computer doing a spam blast, you will not. I guess you must be an authentic commentor. :)
Paula, growing up we had all four of us girls in one room for a period, too. Ask Dad about how much HE enjoyed our parties! He loves telling the story of how he taped us one night having fun. As long as we put the baby down first, he's usually asleep before the older ones get up there and then we go through the whole we-have-to-be-quiet-and-not-wake-up-Christopher routine. It's worked for several months now, but eventually we'll have to shift strategies. :) I'm open to any tips you have!!
I remember the girl parties in the big upstairs room at the Schley house...and burping contests...and getting yelled at for making too much noise...and hearing footsteps coming up the steps...and giggles...and flashlights...and stories...and laughing at some of the things said by sleep talkers...and all the fun we had!
I can just hear you girls way back when...the giggles, etc. and the time you were all at our house with LindaSue's friend Rneee who was lifting Ron's weights above your mom and dad's bedroom....I still crack up when I think of your mom lifting the weights to surpass Renee only to find out Renee was only kidding her with the number of lifts she did. Did you guys ever get to sleep that night?
Love the bunk beds. Looks like Christopher will "live" on the top bunk also. Can't let the big guys out do him!
Chris's solution was to move everyone to their own rooms. Thankfully we had enough rooms to do that.
Oh, we just purchased bunkbeds for our two girls. Their is much more room for them to play now.
Can I ask? Where did you buy yours?
Enjoying your blog. Come visit ours sometime. www.shellsgang.blogspot.com
The boys still LOVE their bunk bed! We got it from a co-worker of a friend of ours. They were moving and wanted to sell it. It's a bit dated (80's maybe?), but it's solid wood and in excellent shape! We also found out this weekend that it's great for sleepovers!
